Most of my education has been obtained from Kansas State University.  I have a BS in Human Development and Family Science with a certificate in Conflict Resolution.  My master's degree is in Human Development and Family Science with a focus in Couple and Family Therapy. You may find me on K-State's campus, as I am currently completing my Doctorate degree. I also assist as an EMDR therapist working with clients in an EMDR study focusing on treating moderate to severe depression.

My various approaches to treatment are based on what will best fit you in how you view life and the responses to your experiences. Therapy is not "one size fits all" and I acknowledge each individuals' specific needs in my interventions. I strive to provide a judgement free space where clients can be themselves- humor, cursing, memes (whatever it takes to feel comfortable) .  I have been trained in various theories to treat clients including working with children and parents using Play & Filial therapy.  Clients can also discuss their need for Emotional Support Animals, as I have certified training to better understand the impact of Human-Animal Bonds. My area of focus includes but is not limited to trauma, military populations, and interpersonal violence.

I am a proud Army Veteran who served overseas in Iraq.  Based off my military experience, I love working with military and Veteran populations.  I feel that making a connection with someone who understands military culture and the lifestyle is very important in the healing process.
