EMDR As a Tool
This intervention is used as a tool to treat specific diagnoses over several sessions. Because it is used as a tool, your regular therapist can coordinate care with an EMDR therapist to treat you short-term using this modality. So, do not feel restricted in your treatment because your therapist does not have this training..just ask to coordinate care with a trained EMDR therapist!
